it is 3 am.

 yes, that is a lot of face.

but no, i am not that vain. just an occasional insomniacal blogger. 

in fact, i usually keep long hair to hide as much of my face as possible.

but...i am starting to get that nagging desire to chop it all off.

i go through shampoo faster than toothpaste (and i use a lot of toothpaste).

it takes at least 10 minutes to dry.

it gets so hot!

but...it means that i do not have to style it. 

hello pony tails and braids.

it can be fun...

and again, it is my security blanket. it hides me.

every time i DO cut my hair i cry...but it always grows back.

i am conflicted.
