I have always loved Target. Mainly because of their cute things, their popcorn, the bright redness, the dollar section, their pj pants, their fun commercials, their dresses and swimsuits and shoes....ok so I way like the place. And now they have this:
Yep. They highly endorse recycling. As I mentioned in a past blog, their bags even list ten ways to reuse them. And they don't use Styrofoam (the stuff is worse than margarine) to serve their food. So while their recycling center has nothing on Wisconsin's system (they are pros), they are a step ahead of most places in UT (not hard to do but still worth noting)....
Somewhat along those lines- I also really like being thrifty. It is my sneaky way of getting things (haha like I would ever do anything sneaky to get what I want...) that I need or want with a bonus boost of endorphins from the high of saving my hard earned monies.
Now I should tell you- I am a SheetSnob (bed sheets and linens of only the highest quality). I don't know about you, but I spend quite a bit of time in my bed (yet not nearly as much as I would like to). So I need to maximize the experience and make it luxurious and wonderful every single time. My favorite sheets are 800 tc Organic Cotton ( i have to admit, the organic thing made me worried that they were just bio-degrade in the night...). They are amazing. But they are a bit frivolous of a splurge in comparison to starving children, toilet paper, school, etc. And anyway- when I gave up my full size bed, those went into storage. But guess what I found?? Thanks to those $10 coupons in the mail (i love coupons!) and the clearance section of JcPenney, I purchased this beautiful set (and so soft I could live in em) for $2.92.
Sage green and cream colored sheets for less than a Boca Burger? Job well done.
And in two weeks I will be working part time and schooling full time. I have never really done this before. But the time has come. So I will be spending even less time in my lovely sheets and have even less money for Boca's, but I have a feeling that I am still going to be pretty darn happy.
The boys are staying here for the fall semester and the other half have come back from home/summer sales/jobs. Plus there will be lots of new people- that is always an adventure. Sully the fishy is thriving, I am twiderpatted, busy, loved, brown and blessed beyond measure and deserving.
And speaking of blessings:
Daddy, Me and Mama at the Temple. Most amazing experience here on earth.
