This weekend I was with a friend (who shall remain unnamed so that you don't all hate him) and being the typical girl that I am, while we were out and about, I had to go to the restroom. Everyone knows that bathrooms in public places are just gross, let alone bringing your purse/bag into one. So I gave him the standard duty of holding my bag. This is her (a little dirty...sorry):
and he refused to hold The Roo! He gave me a disgusted look and said "no beckie, I am not going to stand out here and hold your fanny pack. I would rather hold a damn pink purse."
Um, rude. The Roo is the best purse I have ever had. I purchased her with my very own monies when I was 16 years old and still use her everyday. And IT IS NOT A FANNY PACK!
You cannot even wear it comfortably around your waist because it just flops over...the reason being that you wear it on your BACK! Not your freaking fanny.
and here is the proof:
and for further proof here is my cute friend Caroline with her roo.
Her husband is not ashamed because he knows that it is NOT a fanny back, but indeed a very functional and wonderful alternative to the purse.
thank you very much.

I had one of those, i loved it. Now you made me want to find it again. They are very comfortable and I like them way better than purses, i hate carrying purses.
I love you for posting this.
I love you for sporting the roo.
I love you for adding me to the classy few who have a roo.
Shout out to the roo! Because we all know it is the BEST purse EVER.
(why? b/c it's hands free and has the perfect amount of space.)
Thank you Beckie for making my day!
hahaha! it kinda looks like a modern fanny pack to me, haha!
well and lets face it- back in the day the fanny pack was functionable and cute. I wore one in England. Nothing wrong with one in my opinion, so no reason to be embarrassed even if the Roo WAS a fanny pack :)
and can I just say I wear mine every day to the gym! It is THE best invention ever! Way to go, Beckie, for that shout-out. Us St. Louisians know what is cool, good, functional. and hip, even when others don't (i.e. your friend) :)
