made it.

in case it wasn't clearly evident in previous posts, i have been very excited to leave ut for a couple weeks and go spend the holidays with my family.  we have our family traditions and we will have fun, but we never really do anything grandiose.  but that is partially why i love it so much. it is just a relaxing bit of love. 

because this is what my life normally looks like,

i love lists. but when i start to feel overwhelmed by all the lists and post its, i know that there is a problem.

but finals have been conquered and christmas is in 3 days!

my flight didn't leave until 12:30 pm.  so i spent the morning cleaning up, doing some last minute packing and playing with jack.

yes. that is me. and a cat. he is my 3rd roommate. he actually belongs to my other roommate taryn. i have always hated cats and i still do and sometimes i wanna punch this one...but other times he really is just adorable and sweet.  yes he is the reason i have to take claratin everyday, keep my door shut at all times and a lifetime supply of lint rollers, but he sure is a sweet kitty.

i also broke in my new $2 shoes.

thanks to this website, i print off the best coupons ever. along with some holiday deals, these cutesy tootsies cost me $2. awesome. um ps, i am cheap.  but they were originally $69....so no matter how you look at it, these were a steal.

this is how i survive travels.

big bag of books, big bag of snacks, ipod, chapstick, toothbrush, water bottle, lint roller and non drowsy anti nausea meds.  the pharmacist was amazing. he told me to try this particular kind because it wouldn't make me tired and i could take it only if i needed to- unlike dramamine, which is preventative, but exacerbates the sickness if you take it too late.  he even picked out the cheapest one for me and it worked like a charm.

a carry on, a bulging purse and 48lbs of luggage- i am ready to go.

well the flight was delayed a total of 2 hours. then hanging out in the denver airport for 3ish hours. awesome. then a nice ride to the springs and now snuggled in bed with my sister watching snl videos and laughing hysterically. this is good.

PS. you know what is also good? fedex. random i know. but yesterday i had to take a ginormous box to fedex. they are brilliant and have double automatic sliding doors (so none of that awkward, difficult door opening) and then a man meets you at the door and carries it for you. and their logo- the secret logo- mind blown.
