some things belong together.

i am not fashionista. i know the rules, i follow some of them and i agree with about half of them. but my style pretty much stays the same.  if it isn't workout garb and looking fresh til death, it is jeans, cardigans, and pearls. can a girl really ever go wrong with those?  and i quite literally wear something with pearls every single day. they are dainty and classic and pretty. i love pearls.

ever since i was about 13 years old, i have also loved shoes. i had over 100 pairs at one point. yes, it was a bit out of control. i am much more disciplined and practical now, of course.  i have tons of running shoes... (vale always tells me to donate my running shoes because i don't need so many...) but the rest of my shoes are cutesy flats.  and more than half of them have bows.

what can i say?  i just think that bows should go on toes.

and seeing as how this sunday is the first day of spring, i am quite excited for upcoming weather so that i may wear my sperrys. spring is a great time of year for fashion. vale and i had a little trip today looking at all the cute new spring dresses, skirts and things. while i will never give up my sweats and yoga pants, i go weak in the knees for a flowery dress.

but you know what else bows go great on??  men. 

bows belong on beaus.

not any guy can pull of the bow tie. but i am incredibly attracted to smart men.  intelligent men get me every time. i am a sucker. and if they look the part too (think casual east coast)- well i am a goner.

some girls argue that it is too much of an old fashioned look, but i happen to find it rather sophisticated and very sexy.

and jaw line, vest and bow tie?? (skinny vests are an incredible blessing for men's wardrobes...and david beckham is an incredible blessing for want). from a purely aesthetic view- i love. i have always like bow ties. i know a lot of people just associate them with nerdy people or bill nye, but i think that they are so handsome (and i like nerds...).  we were at stake conference and i saw a boy wearing one and i had a brazen urge to go and say hello (and i never really notice guys around me, let alone go make eyes at one, i am a lady).

if i had a cuter head, i would probably wear bows on headbands too. my favorite earrings are little bows with pearls. i am coming to realize that i just love bows.
