it was a good day.

Sundays in the Spring are fabulous. I absolutely love them. I woke up early (ok not that early because the sun was shining- random tidbit- very rarely do I get to take a shower in the daylight. I either shower late at night or at the crack of dawn. I love to take a shower in the daytime though because you see the sun shining in from the window and sparkle on the water...it's beautiful, warm and happy. It just feels so natural and I could stay there forever.) and I was very productive. Had a cleaning session with Ang, took my time getting ready for church, read a great article in the Ensign, emailed a few friends...it was great.

So the morning was perfect and then it was off to church. Once again, my ward is one of a kind. Such an incredible group of people to be surrounded by. The spirit was so strong in our sacrament meeting. And one of the speakers gave one of my FAVORITE quotes from C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity.  I recommend the entire book, but the quote was taken book IV and it's one of my favorite pieces of literature by Clive.

"The command Be ye perfect is not idealistic gas. Nor is it a command to do the impossible. He is going to make us into creatures that can obey that command. He said (in the Bible) that we were 'gods' and He is going to make good His words. If we let Him - for we can prevent Him, if we choose - He will make the feeblest and filthiest of us into a god or goddess, a dazzling, radiant, immortal creature, pulsating all through with such energy and joy and wisdom and love as we cannot now imagine, a bright stainless mirror which reflects back to God perfectly (though, of course, on a smaller scale) His own boundless power and delight and goodness. The process will be long and in parts very painful; but that is what we are in for. Nothing less. He meant what He said."

After church I went for a nice walk in the sun and just enjoyed the beautiful day. Then I made my own version of Avocado, Cilantro, Lime, Ranch dip. Let's just say, the smell is still comin' out my bones, but mmmm it was worth it (KK you would have been so proud of me!!). Lily, Kati and I have a rule that we cannot have a rendezvous without chips and salsa.  I think that it is because if we didn't have something to keep our mouths busy we would all be chit chattering a million words per minute and our heads would explode (not to mention that chips and salsa are just always a good idea).

People came and went all night (PAPOOSE!), Lilikins and I got in some good one on one chatski time. I am pretty sure that about 67% of our conversations make me want to just cry because they are so great and uplifting (and let's admit it Lil, we cry about 50% of them anyway) and then we watched the Life series premiere. And I was blown away. And now I have a strong desire to own a monkey.

It was another late night, but I went to bed exhausted, educated, uplifted and happy. I am such a blessed, happy girl.  Now if only I could see my Squister... Where you at?!

Oh and yes... I am still #1 in my bracket group, even with that awful score. It is true madness.
