(this is where I go to church... kinda weird, but it works)
Really, I do love my ward. I absolutely love it. I was nervous to attend a BYU ward, especially in the Tanner Building. But it has been a pleasant surprise. It is small and friendly. We have an amazing bishopric and the average age of the ward members is early- mid twenties. For once I am not one of the oldest girls in Relief Society with a bishop breathing down my neck about why I am not married yet. I am amazed at how edified I feel after every Sunday, just by listening to and being taught by other young adults. It is educating, entertaining, and inspiring. The lessons are fun! Everyone is so down to earth, willing to share their experiences, opinions and testimonies. I learn so much and can hardly keep up when taking notes. I feel such a peace in my heart after my Sunday meetings and I am very grateful to the members of my ward that include me (especially because I go all alone...) and help create such an uplifting environment.Oh and the cutest thing: Relief Society usually goes just a few minutes longer than Priesthood. We all know that after 3 hours of church those boys cannot wait to get home to eat, take Sunday naps, etc. (I mean, if they are even half as excited as I am...then they are really anxious). But every week, they stand around in the foyer just waiting for all the sisters to come out. About 40% are waiting for their fiancees (there is something in the water in our ward boundaries... there are SO many engaged couples), 30% are waiting for the girl they nervously want to talk to and the other 30% just want to chat with the cool girls in the ward. But either way, it is really cute when you walk out there and see all their adorable smiles just waiting :)
