March Madness

I cannot believe that I went the whole month of February without a single post. My most sincere apologies...I know that you have all been pining to know about the exciting life of the unemployed, uneducated...me. Haha.

Not much has really happened. I manage to stay really busy somehow. There have been a lot more birthdays, bowling nights, movie nights ( Slumdog Millionaire and Taken- soooo good), hot tubbing, working out (yet still not pre prego body *frustrating*), weddings, getting to know my new ward ( I have gone 3 times...baby steps people), enjoying the mood swingy weather (65 degrees and then a mini blizzard on I-15), all sorts of little adventures. Geo Caching being one of them- we sucked at it, but it was an interesting evening for sure. But let's see...Valentine's Day- Spent with a friend eating sushi and watching the NBA All Star Slam Dunk Competition. Can you really imagine me having a more perfect V-Day? Who needs love, flowers and all that romantical garbage when you could have delightful raw fish and the artistic, athletic display of the Slam Dunk Competition?! I was very happy.

I did also get to go to the Jazz/Celtics game. This was torture for me. I love the Jazz, I really do. But it was the Celtics! And I had great seats, cute company and the chance to see Kevin Garnett in person for the first time in my life. Unfortunately, they had just traded Sam Cassell to the Kings (yikes, how the mighty have fallen) so I did not get to see him, and I don't care what ya'll say about him looking like a martian, I love him! Not wanting to be a fair weather fan, I donned the Celtics shirt and wore it with pride amongst the sea of die hard Jazz fans. A couple times I feared for my life, geez, if looks could kill, I would not be writing this. But the night ended with KG being injured, me NOT meeting him (far fetched, but a girl can dream), the Celtics losing, and me going home with a hoarse voice and cursing the basketball gods. Oh life is tough. But it is March now, so bring on the bracketology and the Madness!!!!

Things really have been going well though. I have been talking to my sisters a lot more and that's been a lot of fun. I am excited to see them again in June when our parents get home from Russia. We always have a lot of fun together. Other than the aforementioned, it has just been hanging out, dating like a mad woman (yes, I have actually gone on the dates, I'm at about a 76% success rate at NOT canceling for the month, chalk it up to boredom and personal growth), getting my new apartment for the fall with Angela and Rachael (SO EXCITED, we're probably the funnest people in Provo), pretending to puppy shop because I really want one, registering Sally 5 months late (long story of luck), praying for Jean Paul in his time of surgical needs, and loving my life of leisure- which will be coming to an end all too quickly.

Ahh well time to go see my friends at the gym to work off all the fruit snacks I ate while writing this and to watch more college basketball- can you really get enough?!
